I certainly cannot take credit for this method of How To Boil Perfect Shrimp but I’ve found it to be the perfect recipe.
If the author of this recipe ever stops by, please let me know who you are so that I can give you the raving credit that you deserve!
These are absolutely yummy!
Your Ingredients:
Unpeeled shrimp
1/4-1/2 cup cider vinegar
3-4 tbsp Old Bay Seasoning
Any other spices you like
The Method:
FOR the best taste, use wild caught shrimp instead of farm-raised.
PLACE the shrimp in a pot of water so there is at least 2-inches covering them. It doesn’t matter what size they are or how many. It doesn’t matter if the water is cold, warm or hot.
START cooking the shrimp.
THE water may never come to a boil.
CONSTANTLY stir the shrimp.
DON’T worry about the water boiling or the time, it doesn’t matter.
WHEN 1 or 2 shrimp float, immediately drain them and place them in a cold water bath to stop the cooking.
Note: The author says to drain and chill at least one hour before serving, but I am imagining that you should peel and devein them first. It was also stated that if you will be serving them hot, serve them immediately after cooking. Come on folks; let’s get these shrimp deveined!
Always Enjoy!![]()
