Dad’s the guy we go to when Mom won’t give us our way and we send him in to soften her up.
Dad’s the guy we go to when we need a few extra bucks.
Dad’s the guy we need at our sports games to rally us on with the look of pride whether we win the game or not.
Dad’s the guy who will give us the keys to the car for our special date(s).
Dad’s the guy who used to read us scary bedtime stories since Mom was too much of a baby.
Dad’s the guy who other Dad’s look up to and come to for advice.
Dad’s the guy who tries to get all romantic with Mom when he thinks we aren’t looking.
Dad’s the guy who can make our problems seem small with his kind and loving words of wisdom.
Dad’s the guy we love to call our DAD regardless of what title he holds, because he’s our Dad in our heart.
Oh… I almost forgot…
Dad’s the guy who usually needs the assistance of the fire department every year when he tries his hand at barbecuing on the grill. Won’t he ever learn?
